  • 6 stamped-steel saddles cradle your strings securely
  • Die-cast tremolo block ensures durability
  • 2-3/16" mounting spacing

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

Note: While Certified Open Box items from Fender do not include the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation warranty, you can shop with confidence knowing that this item is backed and covered by Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Reviews

Great Deal
Originally I was looking for the Tremolo block for my Highway 1 Strat only because the threads on that part had corroded and it would no longer retain the whammy bar. Then I saw this deal and another like it on Sweetwater for not much more than the block by itself. Was looking at two different ones and Dave Snow (he was great!) recommended this one so I went with it.
1. It fits perfectly.
2. Works great.
3. The graphite saddles I had for my old one fit perfectly in it.
4. The spring and ball bearing I had to stabilize the whammy fit in it perfectly.
I am very satisfied and very happy to have my favorite guitar back in good working order. Thank you Dave and thank you Sweetwater. Now let me go eat my candy.
Legit vintage bridge
Fit and finish are excellent. The bevel is straight and smooth with no burrs or other defects. All of the chrome plating is free from scratches and pits. The adjustment screws have good running torque on the threads and operate smoothly. Bridge function is perfect! I can go from fully in-tune to totally slack, and it returns to pitch just fine (once the strings have settled in).

Springs on the adjustment screws are a little short, so you may need some longer ones if your intonation requires the full thread length. All of the retailers for some reason have the spacing specs wrong for this part number: the mounting-hole and string spacing are 2-7/32" (2.219"); I measured with calipers just to be sure. It was a drop-in replacement on my 1982 Standard Stratocaster.

Too easy
Got here in two days, the two outside screw holes were a bit askew but with some careful re-drill the piece went right on and attenuation is spot on.
this is a better than average deal for sure.
Too big for my squier but I dont care
Replaced the bridge in my Squier Strat with this, and I had to leave the back cover off because it pokes out the back of the body by 1-2mm, which I understand is a fault of my own. I didn't know Squiers have a thinner body than proper Fender Strats. I'm not really bothered by that though, it doesn't affect my playing at all and seems to hold string tension better than before so I'm happy with the upgrade.
Fender Tele Bridge
Very nice. Good fit.
