Looking for a keyboard stand that can handle the modern demands of today's players? The K&M Spider Pro keyboard stand is a versatile, column-style stand that is ready for the most demanding gigs. You can easily set up and break down the Spider Pro, which leaves more time for setting up and connection your keyboards and other gear. This two tier keyboard stand has telescopic arms and a tilted top tier to make it easier and more comfortable to play the top board. You'll love the expandability of the Spider Pro to conveniently add a laptop or mic stand to your rig. The K&M Spider Pro is a keyboard players dream come true.

Improved design

The K&M Spider Pro is an improved design over the original. The greater tilt angle of the upper tier makes playing multiple keyboards easier and more comfortable. The keyboard arms on both tiers are also telescoping to ensure a secure fit no matter the depth of your keyboard. These additions make the Spider Pro extremely versatile for every situation.

Functionality and expandability

Keyboard rigs are becoming more complicated and varied in the digital age, you need a stand that can keep up. With the flexibility of the K&M Spider Pro you can easily add a third tier of arms for that new synth you have your eye on. Eliminate the mic stand in your set up by using the boom stand threaded insert and attaching the mic directly to the Spider Pro. There is even an add-on laptop accessory to mount your computer directly on the Spider Pro.

Simple setup and tear down

Setup and tear down is easy and fast! The K&M Spider Pro breaks down into a single unit that's easy to transport. The legs remain connected and fold up around the base of the column, and the arms that support your keyboards fold up into the column. No difficult break down or multiple pieces, the Spider Pro keyboard makes setup and tear down a breeze!

Solid stand, very fast to setup, red looks great!

I had to wait to get the red Spider Pro as it was on back order. This stand replaced a 2 tier Z stand that I've had for years, but was a pain to setup at gigs given all the parts, adjustments. This stand was well worth the wait!

The Good:
* This stand is solid and easy/fast to setup. Since it's a single piece, it takes me somewhere around 3 minutes to have it up and ready to add my keyboards. My Z stand would easily take 15 minutes with all the attachments I had to configure.
* The red aluminum looks amazing and the cable routing options are a solid plus too.

The "Opportunities for Improvement":
* I can't fault them, but this stand is a bit heavy. It's kind of a double edge sword as that weight is also why this stand is so stable.
* The cap on the column that holds the mic attachment is made of plastic. While it's thick plastic, I could see this being a potential problem down the road. Really wish that K&M could have made this from anodized aluminum like the rest of the stand.
* Since this stand is so flexible on tier height, it can be a challenge to have the same setup each time (I take it out for gigs). I found a simple solution for this one - take a black sharpie and mark the heights on the column and the arm extension so you don't have to guess. Just slide to the marks and lock.
* The ends on the top tier are a bit tall and cannot be adjusted. I use an Arturia controller on the top tier and the ends stop 2 keys from being able to be pressed. My old Z stand had ends that could be angled to any degree I needed. I found a solution on this one as well - Get a 3' x 1/4" x 36" project board from any home improvement store. Paint it (so it looks good), and it's the perfect height to shim the Arturia to the right height while still keeping it from sliding off. If you're using a full size keyboard, you probably wouldn't hit this issue.

As always - I can't thank my sales rep, Matt McKible, enough for his advice on this gear purchase as well as the many others I've made from Sweetwater over the years. I always get solid advice without a sales pitch. He's never steered me wrong and is a big reason why I continue to be a Sweetwater customer.

Really Cool Keyboard Stand

I have used K&M stands for years now.

Pros: The area below the legs is open which allows me to place multiple pedals exactly where I want them. You can wrap the pedal cables around the legs for a cleaner look. The color looks awesome against my Nord Stage 3 keyboard.

Cons: I did not give this product a 5 because K&M makes you buy the keyboard stand bag separately for an additional fee. The $ price tag is actually $ which included purchasing their bag. All of the other K&M stands came with a bag.

Make you the middle knobs that secure both arms that holds each tier is secure well. As a recommendation, I always check behind the setup crew to ensure my keyboards don't fall from not being secured properly.

Great Stand but poor design for 3 keyboards

Love the stand overall, as far as the design which gives you more floor space than the Ultimate Support stand. The color, the beautiful look of it as it is aluminum and the fact the tiers can retract out to have a bottom keyboard come out closer to you without losing stability. However, as a gigging keyboard player that has 3 keyboards, this stand is not at all practical for setting up and tearing down from each gig. The column allows you to slide down the two tiers and store them in the actual column since they fold up into it. (unlike the Ultimate Support stand that you pull them out, and place them in the top cap) But where the engineers screwed up is that in order to add a third tier, you must constantly remove 5 screws, although I'm simplifying this to 2-3, in order to slide out the third tier. The column does not allow you to flip up three tiers into it so you have to take that 3rd tier on and off before and after every gig and store that tier in another location. Each time you do that, you have to remove and replace the top cap/screws. I would give this five stars if they had designed this better, but now I have to make sure I have a good place to store my extra tier where it doesn't get scratched and I have to carry around an electric screwdriver, which is going to look ridiculous. The other thing I want to point out is that for the money paid for this stand, the mount for the microphone boom on top is black PLASTIC, so I am going to buy a silver color one that isn't plastic for 3.99. Why couldn't they have just had a good one on there to begin with? I may continue using my Ultimate Support stand at some gigs and save this one for special occasions.
