Stable neck-through design
The latest Pro Series Spectra basses follow in the footsteps of the previous generations. The neck-through design centers around a 5-piece neck constructed from alternating plies of maple and walnut. A neck-through bass offers greater sustain since the strings are anchored in the neck at both ends. Plus, the extra glue in the neck makes it even more durable. Finally, the Speed Neck profile and 12- to 16-inch compound fingerboard radius supply fluid playability.
Hard-wearing hardware
Jackson outfitted the Pro Series Spectra Bass with durable hardware to handle a lifetime of use in the studio and out on the road. Starting with the bridge, the Jackson Single-String hardtail bridge gives every note a punchy attack and smooth sustain. The domed metal knobs give you a secure feel when adjusting the controls. Tuning stability is excellent, too, courtesy of Jackson-sealed die-cast tuning machines.
