Yes, Paiste Signature series are expensive; so save up your money for a little while longer and confidently buy the best cymbal I've ever heard.
The 19" full crash is the largest crash I'll purchase. Anything bigger loses it's crashing quality in my opinion. The 19" sits right on that edge, with a bright crash and warm after-wash tone.
So spend that money wisely. After all, there is no substitute for excellence.

In my 50+ years as a professional drummer, I have used or tried all of the major brands. Cymbals are very personal and subjective in the type of sound they create and what drummers like to hear. For me, the cymbals add a "musical" quality to the drum-set and supply the highest voice that should cut through the mix to accent figures and add the sparkle and shimmer to the music the drum set makes. I like cymbals that are high-pitched and have a glassy "chime", lots of sustain, and a brilliant presence. Paiste Signature Series cymbals do all of this, and more! These cymbals are wonderful and very consistent from cymbal to cymbal. They are very high-quality and are made from the finest metals. They are a "sheet" cymbal in that they are made from sheet metal vs. a cast metal process (Zildjian) and drummers differ over how this affects the final product. I believe the final test is how they SOUND, not necessarily how they are MADE. To my ear, Paiste Signature Cymbals sound fantastic, they are light years ahead of anything else out there. Very expensive but totally worth the $$. Different strokes for different folks, but if you want a true musical cymbal that does what cymbals are meant to do, check out Paiste Signature Series cymbals. The Best there is.
