What a concept: digital audio mixing facilities married to a DMX 512 controller

Soundcraft has created something entirely new here: a digital audio console with a built-in DMX 512 controller. Think about what this means: one person can operate sound and lights from a centralized location. Until now, running a lighting rig required a separate lighting board (with its own operator) - and somewhere to put it. For churches, schools, theater companies, conference centers, and the like, it's a brave new world!

Amazing flexibility lets you handle the big shows with ease

If you think the Soundcraft Si Performer 2's input side is impressive, know that all Si Performer boards also sport versatile bussing, output processing, and connectivity. You can configure the 14 aux/group mixes as 14 mono mixes, eight mono plus six stereo mixes - or just about anything in between. The four matrix mixes can be mono or stereo as required. You also get four more mix busses dedicated to the internal Lexicon FX processors - all in addition to the left, right and center busses. Each bus mix features always-available compression, 4-band parametric EQ, graphic EQ, and delay.

Onboard hardware-based Lexicon FX processors don't soak up your resources

Soundcraft Si Performer consoles incorporate four stereo Lexicon FX processors based on the acclaimed MX400. With fully adjustable parameters and dedicated tap-tempo keys, you can tweak to your heart's content. These FX are hardware-based, so even if you're using a ton of them it doesn't affect your other processing in the slightest - all your dynamics, EQ, filters, delays, and GEQs will be always available, no questions asked.

Mix with confidence: you're mixing on a Soundcraft

As befitting any Soundcraft digital mixer, the Si Performer 3 gives you extensive facilities and legendary audio quality, courtesy of the cutting-edge EMMA DSP processor - the same DSP platform that has helped rocket previous Soundcraft Si series consoles to stardom. At Sweetwater, our Sales Engineers are highly experienced in the essentials of FOH mixing, and they've been recommending Soundcraft digital boards for years, without reservation. With prodigious processing power, bulletproof reliability, impressive flexibility, amazing ease of use, and built-in lighting control capabilities, the Si Performer 3 is an outstanding value. Exactly what you'd expect from Soundcraft.

Better then the m32 for sure

I tour with this desk with the compact Stagebox and VI Stagebox and will take it any day over a stock SC48 or Pro2. Can handle 84 inputs via madi and Has all the functionality of the M32 plus 1 one patching. better sounding (However Fewer) FX Better Preamps and Better EQ Better Comp and Gates and its small

Only complaints are the oscillator section isn't very flexible does not come with madi and recording card and the app isn't too great.

Get the option cards and combine this with DAW FX and the thing is unstoppable.

Okay if you don't ask too much of it.

This mixer is obviously aimed at the entry level user, and I had the occasion to use it recently on a fairly large scale production with fairly simple audio requirements. I am accustomed to working with Digico and Yamaha professional consoles, and I didn't have that level of expectation, but I still came away disappointed and frustrated with this mixer. First, the very small touch screen appears to be straight from a Garmin GPS. It's plastic surface is not responsive, and it is difficult to navigate to critical settings when under a time crunch. All rotary encoders have a loose, free-spinning feel to them with no detentes or even friction to them, so I found myself unintentionally spinning mic controls just by brushing my hand against them.Likewise, the faders feel very loose, and they feel like a strong breeze could change their position. Faders have a helpful LCD ID panel, but the text is quite small. There is a short delay between turning a knob and hearing the setting change. This is a minor quibble, but it became very annoying when adjusting headphone volume. Evidently some aux busses are mono and some stereo, but there is no way to know by looking how they are configured. There is no apparent way to link groups of channels to share level, eq changes, etc. Copy and paste function is provided, but not intuitive. I needed to build a quick three channel mid-side stereo recording matix, so I patched my middle mic into a channel, and my side mic into two adjacent channels with the same input patch to derive my stereo signal. I could not invert the phase of the second side-mic channel without inverting the first channel as well. Bottom line, if you are looking for a basic mixer you won't ask much from, this could work, but I suggest you try one out first before committing to this unit.
