Thank you Chris Goldbach & Sweetwater. Super happy with this bass. This is my first Ibanez. I have played upright & Fender jazz basses for 20+ years. I wanted to get the upright sound without the hassle. This bass has a great sound and was set up very well by the Sweetwater staff.

Great for other styles also. I pair it
with a Phil Jones PE-5 preamp pedal
for everything from classic jazz to
modern fusion.
Lightweight, balanced, comfortable,
and plays great!

I put Thomastik-Infeld flats on it to protect it and the MWAAAAAAAAAAAA is definitely there if that's what you're after. I love it. Remember that it's a hollow bodied so you shouldn't have it hanging on the wall but instead kept safely in it's case when not in play. I wanted a solid body to compliment it on the wall for easy access so got the Gary Willis which is a perfect sibling. Very similary (almost identical) dimentions. Which has more MWAH? Definitely this SRH505F. I don't know if it's the body difference or pickups, but it's sound is certainly unique. Think the bassist in the FIRM. I'd never part with the bass. Ever.

This bass is incredible! That tone, somewhere between a P bass and an upright...amazing! Mwah all over the neck. This bass arrived set up perfectly and the playability is really off the charts. It is also very light, so I can play it comfortably for hours. Very happy with my purchase, and with Sweetwater!!!

I love this bass, I was seeking a specific tone and finally found it right here! Enough said, just read the reviews, watch some video of it being played. If you're like me, you will have a hard time putting it down.
