Roto-molded strength

The 1-piece base of the 1SKB-R102 is roto-molded from linear medium-density polyethylene. With no seams or joints, it'll stand up to drops, bumps, slams, and all manner of mistreatment. And the doors are injection-molded with rubber-modified styrene (RMS) for maximum protection that won't become brittle and crack.

TSA locking latches

Two TSA locking trigger latches keep the 1SKB-R102 shut up tight. Even if you're not flying with your gear, you'll love the peace of mind you'll have knowing that your 1SKB-R102 won't pop open during transport.

Great rack!

I bought this to house a QSC Touchmix 16, and a power conditioner. I found that I also had room to mount a Shure wireless mic receiver, hard drive and even a small fan to keep things cool. Lots of space, stellar build quality. Can't go wrong!

SKB Cases Rock

I have been using SKB cases for a long time. You can't beat their quality! I have used many different bands in the past and nothing comes close to SKB. This particular case works exactly as is was intended is light weight and does a great job protecting my equipment. On another note Sweetwater is a great company to do business with, I have used others in the past but only Sweetwater is my equipment supplier now. A special shout out to Maryann my sales professional, she puts the "customer service" in customer service, a thing you just don't get anymore from most companies. Great Job Maryann!!

Lightweight durable box

Great for a mobile DJ, the only weight is your gear inside almost. The cutouts are great to run cords through and placed in the perfect spots to keep everything looking clean for a great presentation while you perform.

Great for stomp boxes and a pedal switcher

I bought this as a place for my stomp boxes and a Voodoo Lab GCX Switcher (to control the stomp boxes). I put several blank racks on the top, where a mixer normally goes, and secured the pedals with dual lock. I put the GCX in the rack, directly under the pedals, and connected all the pedals to the GCX. I ran a midi cable from the GCX out to a Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro (GCP) to control the pedals.

There are several things about this setup that I really like:
1. The pedals are off the stage, although you do have the GCP on stage. For me the GCP is more compact and versatile.
2. Multiple pedals can be toggled on/off with the GCP with one preset button.
3. The lid easily fits over the pedals and protects the pedal settings from getting tweaked in transit.
4. The pedals are easily accessible during a gig to tweak by hand, if you need to, without getting on your knees.
5. There is plenty of room left in the rack case for extra "always on" pedals, power supplies, etc. I dual lock that stuff to the case.

The only issue I have with this case is that I could not find another rack case that stacks under this where the slots align. I bought the SKB 1SKB-R4U Roto Rack Case for my preamp and power amp and was surprised that they do not match in footprint and the slots don't line up. Again, another job for dual lock!

If they matched, or I could have found another SKB rack that did match, I would have given this 5 stars.

I purchased this item and it works great. I have a dj mixer on top with my power amp and power conditioner on lower shelf. very sturdy and protects your equipment!
