Gorgeous Dark Cymbal Pack at a Steal of a Price!

Looking to outfit your kit with a set of premium dark cymbals without it breaking the bank? Turn to the S Dark 4-piece Cymbal Pack from Zildjian. You can expect the versatility and expressiveness associated with the S Series, but with a dark twist! These cymbals feature random hammering coated in Zildjian’s exclusive dark finish, accented by dozens of sporadic light hammerings. The resulting effect is a wash that is rich in character and explosively present when you need it to be — that goes for all pieces of this bronze puzzle, including the 14-inch hi-hats, the 16- and 18-inch crashes, and the 20-inch ride. And for such an attractive price, drummers around Sweetwater recommend this 4-piece set for players of all stripes, from cautious beginners to curious pros!

Reviews

Fantastic!!
The bell is perfect! Just the right balance of ping but not too "pingy". The crashes are best described as "majestic". The hi hat has a great chick and open sound. Perfect for my modified cajon drum set!
Music background: Church drummer. Playing bass learning guitar
Exceptional
The sound and looks are unique- i've switched over entirely to dark.
Nothing compares to Zildjian and these sound amazing
I've waited years for Zildjian I finally was able to get my own set and I'm happy these cymbals may not be the k custom series but they play like a high dollar Zildjian very versatile I even bought the 18 inch china separate do yourself a favor and get these cymbals
Music background: Professional Metal Drummer from Arkansas
Better than Expected
I had not previously purchased any set of 'dark cymbals' and thought I would give these a try. These sound fantastic and do have a bit of the 'bright' edge taken off. I like them for smaller settings/venues as they are not as loud.
Outstanding
Reasonable priced and extraordinary quality. These cymbals are tonally matched and sound amazing. They have a dark earthy sound, intermediate volume. They are perfect for many genres. I use them in a smaller church and they fill the space without overwhelming it. Hit them harder and they open up nicely for when I want to play some rock after hours.
Music background: B.s. Music theory, 55 years classical piano, 40 years church organ, 40 years guitar, 20 years bass, 3 years drums.

Ask any drummer at Sweetwater, and chances are, we'll tell you that Zildjian represents the gold - or rather bronze - standard in cymbal making. Seriously, Avedis Zildjian may have been trying to make gold, but he did even better when he formulated what's arguably the best cymbal material on the planet. We've played virtually every type of Zildjian cymbal out there, and you won't find anyone at Sweetwater who wouldn't happily recommend their instruments to you, plus their sticks and other accessories are also pretty sweet. Whether you're grabbing your first S or Planet Z pack or have saved up for the A or K series cymbals you've always wanted, Sweetwater is your source for all things Zildjian.
