Excellent bag!!

This was a replacement for a carrying bag for my daughters keyboard

ROLAND SC-G88W3 88 KEY KEYBOARD CASE WITH WHEELS

We are using this case for the new Roland FP-E50 88 key digital piano at our church. We opted for this case as we will be moving the piano from its normal spot inside to a stage when we hold services outside. This case has plenty of room for the piano and works well with the height of the piano. Our piano player is impressed with having three wheels for rolling the case and the reinforcing skid bars. Her first impression comments about the inside of the case include she likes the padding but she would like the adjustable straps to be a little closer together. She also suggested getting a couple small pillows to place around the piano. The case is a little large for the FP-E50 but overall she likes it and thinks it is good choice since we don't always know who will be moving the piano outside and back in. We have a great group of volunteers helping with set up and take down but some are more careful than others moving instruments and equipment. The only con anyone has mentioned is the weight of the case but everyone agrees that is a small trade off given the amount of protection and ease of moving the case thanks to the three wheels. Overall this gets a 2 thumbs up. A special thanks to our Sweetwater engineer Norb for recommending this case based on the planned use of the new FP-E50 digital piano.

Heavy duty but HEAVY

I was in a midst of moving across the country and needed a protective bag for my Roland RD-2000. Actually what I really needed was something with handles so I could move the heavy keyboard in and out of the SUV into hotel rooms everyday. Unfortunately, the reviews of even most brand name gig bags were bad, with bags and handles ripping within a few uses.

So I decided to spend the extra and just go with a pro quality bag. When the bag showed up it was in a huge box, larger than what my keyboard came in. The fedex driver had to drag the box to the house. It weighed a ton. After I unboxed it, it still weighed a ton.

The bag is well made and is a perfect fit for my keyboard. As advertised it has wheels (which unfortunately add to the length of the bag). It also has very durable plastic skid plates and reinforcements. I would not call this a "gig bag" but rather a soft shell CASE. It is a semi-rigid case.

Quality seems great so I have no concerns this will hold up well to some abuse. My cat already uses it as a scratching post and hasn't put a dent in the fabric. However, this case nearly DOUBLES the weight of my keyboard. It also does not have a shoulder strap. I can barely carry it with the handles so the wheels are a must. Also, the keyboard alone fits well ocross the backseat of my Ford Expedition. However the wheels add enough extra length that it is a tight fit, and I have to carefully wedge one door shut and compress the end of the case. I fear for any small SUV it would not fit and would have to be loaded through the back hatch with the seats folded down.

Clearly this bag was made for extensive traveling as a working musician. It adds a ton of protection while being a little less unwieldy than a true hardshell case. It's certainly made to be wheeled around, slid around, dragged around. I really can't give it a bad rating simply for failing to be what I really needed, which was a soft lighweight bag with handles and a shoulder strap to make the keyboard easier to carry. I docked one star only because I think a shoulder strap is essential with a bag this heavy. If it had one, I think I could manage getting it in and out of hotel rooms a lot easier. It's just too heavy to carry one handed using only the soft handles. You either need a road crew to move it or you are faced with wheeling it everywhere.
