Great resonance and value

Growing up I only had 16" floor Toms. But I learned to love the 14" floor tom sound when I came into possession of a ludwig club date kit. I liked it so much I just had to get another for my 2nd kit. I had not owned Yamaha drums before, but I heard their stage customs were good, and I couldn't believe the low price, so I took a chance and ordered a 14" floor Tom. I can say I've been very pleased. The shell is thinner than my ludwig 14", and it has amazing resonance. In fact I sometimes have to tone the resonance down with an O ring and a moon gel on the top. But Hey, residence is a good problem to have.
