Amazing little controller

Finally received my controller yesterday after ordering the day it became available. Thank you sweetwater! This little guy has everything except a strip search bar for quickly searching thru a song. But with the size of the controller, it is a reasonable trade off. Fx, long throw pitch sliders, decent xfader and volume faders, loop controls, full size MPC like pads, etc. it has everything a full size controller has minus the size and price. And while it's only 2 channel, for its purpose of preparing mixes on the go, it is a great. My intention is to use it for remote streams where i don't have any power available to me. Like a forest preserve or beach. Or preparing a mix in bed or on the road. It is definitely a purpose built controller. With that in mind, it's by far the best controller of its kind currently available.

Audio connections are bad

tldr: Cue audio jack hasn't worked since I received the unit. (You have to balance the headphone jack input in just the right way. (And yes I have tried multiple headphones with the same issue). You could work around this by routing cue output through your laptops audio jack with virtual DJ, but is not ideal.

Pads do not respond like Pioneer decks... they can be a little fickle. You have to be very precise and forceful to get it timed right.

Great customer service, Bad product

I had an amazing experience ordering from Sweetwater and working with them to get a back ordered Ready as soon as they had one in stock.

The controller, however, is so-so. I'm totally fine with some of the compromises for the small form factor but there are some really important features totally missing (like a tempo range selector). The LEDs are super dim (more so than other USB powered controllers) and I really hate the position of the master volume, cue volume and cue mix knobs. If they decide to keep this design for a second version, a sample volume knob and mic input would be helpful as well.

I do a lot of cue drumming and I was disappointed to find that the pads aren't 100% accurate and you have to really make sure you hit them to ensure they activate on beat (same result on PC and mac). I'd be less frustrated if the price was cheaper but for a controller marketed at professional DJs, Reloop could do better.
