Heavy Bottoms Give These Power-Brights a Thicker Tone

For the player who wants a little more bass from their Power-Bright electric strings! Thomastik-Infeld Power-Brights Heavy Bottom electric guitar strings are handmade from roundwound Magnecore alloy on a flexible hexcore. The resultant tone is bright, full, and hard-hitting, with heavier-gauge bottoms to deliver a chunkier, fatter, juicier tone into your amp. The meticulous craftsmanship of these strings means increased sustain and mind-blowing response to your finger's interactions with the strings. These strings are especially responsive to harmonics and percussive effects like tapping. Guitarists here at Sweetwater also noticed the Power-Brights Heavy Bottoms love distortion — and if you're searching for a heavy-bottom string set for downtuned music, we're sure you will, too!

Reviews

Different strings
These strings are pricey but keep their brilliance for a very long time and intonate exceptionally well. I would typically change strings every 4-6 weeks and these can go for nearly 4 months. They can best be described as being brilliantly warm, balanced and smooth/soft to the touch. They drive a good signal through the pickups and the tension sits in the middle as compared to strings I've played over the last 20+ years; they aren't overly stiff like GHS boomers nor super slinky like round core pure nickels. On my Gibson, I find the 9 gauge side provides a great feel without sounding overly thin while the 26,37 and 46 wound strings keeps the tone thick. Have not had a string break since trying these out a few years ago. I sometimes will put on other brands but keep coming back to these. No hype - worth trying out.
