The Neve of direct boxes
The secret to the RNDI-8's gargantuan sound rests in its custom-designed transformers and Class A, discrete FET input amplifiers. The transformers not only provide isolation, but they also add musical harmonics and dimension to any signal you pass through them. The RNDI-8's discrete input amplifiers are powered by 48V phantom power, and they create a high-impedance input of over 2Mohms, ensuring consistent performance with a full range of instruments. Beyond that, the amplifiers' Class A design safeguards against crossover distortion, which can inject unwanted upper-order odd harmonics into your signal.
