Definitely Delivers

I purchased a pair of these Ashdown Rootmaster RMCAB112T EVO II speakers recently because they were on sale, been looking for lightweight speakers, wanted to try 12" speakers and they're Ashdown. They more than deliver the sound I want with the front shelved porting. I have an older Acoustic B600H amp head that I would like to hook up to these as the amp can go down to 2 ohms. So I'll more than likely get a third Ashdown speaker in the near future. 3 twelves would be great. I'd like to thank Nate Hutson for his help and expedient shipping. Keep up the great work Nate and Sweetwater!!!

Great value for money

I bought this cabinet to go with my Ampeg Venture 300W head (the Venture cabs are out of my price range). I use it as a stage monitor (the bass goes directly into the PA otherwise), and it's been great so far. It's loud enough, and the 12'' speaker has enough punch that the highs don't get lost.

What I like most though is the compact size and the weight. This replaced an Ampeg Portaflex 2x10 cab, and it's half the size and a third of the weight. As a standalone amp without PA, it might not be enough unless the venue is very small, but it does what I need it to do. Highly recommended.

Awesome Little Cab

I run this cab along with an Acoustic 4x10 cab through an Ashdown RM800 amp. The clarity of this cab is amazing compared to the 4x10. It still packs lows, but the growl coming from it when I add some OD is unbeatable. It feels lighter than the specs say, although I believe them (feels like 20# after lugging your heavier gear). If I'm playing a small gig at low volume, I'll still run both cabs and stick this one near the drummer - no need to put the bass through a monitor. Larger gigs I just crank it up. Plenty of punch for a small cab. Used to play with a 1x15 and a 4x10, but this 1x12 keeps up just fine.
