A Legendary EQ: Reborn for Modern Studios
Our Sweetwater Studios production team is in unanimous agreement on this one: you’d be hard-pressed to find a more complete passive EQ for your virtual library than the MP-EQ from Pulsar Audio! The MP-EQ emulates one of the industry’s most iconic parallel analog EQs, one that synthesized the musical responsiveness of history’s most inspiring passive EQs into one unit. Now, the MP-EQ recreates that incredible custom disposition, perfectly replicating every detail from its tubes and transformers to that coveted magnetic saturation — but with a virtual twist. The MP-EQ grants access to a wealth of modern conveniences, including a stunning Visual Curve editor, Spectrum Analyzer, Drive, Auto Gain, Linear Phase correction, and more. Its faithful parallel EQ blueprint is astounding, with classic traits like forward and tight bottom-end presence and lovely top-end air prominently playing their parts. From cleaning up and sculpting guitar, vocal, drum, and EDM tracks to standing in as an incomparable companion for mastering your projects, the MP-EQ from Pulsar Audio balances every mix with legendary analog-style character.

Iconic analog architecture: optimized
One of the first elements of the MP-EQ that will catch your eye is its modernized Visual Curve Editor and Metering/Spectrum Analyzer. The Curve Editor gives you effortless control over your analog EQ curves with intuitive frequency monitoring, all without having to fuss with your dials. The Metering and Spectrum Analyzer complements this control, showcasing your signal’s real-time audio spectrum with peak and gain metering for keeping tabs on the track’s dynamic levels.
The original hardware’s musical saturation can now be precisely leveled to your liking courtesy of the MP-EQ’s Drive control. That legendary low-end compression? The dimensional character of those vintage tubes, transformers, and transducers? It’s all accounted for and ready for shaping. And speaking of transformers, a trio of output transformer options provides original and boosted coloration in addition to the option to bypass the output transformer completely.
Furthermore, the MP-EQ enables Mid/Side processing, allowing you to individually process the mono and stereo information of your signal, along with helpful isolative Listen functions for each. Thoroughly devised Auto Gain capabilities keep EQ-based volume fluctuation in check, while revolutionary Linear Phase Correction brings post-EQ frequency realignment aboard an EQ emulation plug-in for the first time. Lastly, an Oversampling mode is available for compatible modern CPUs, allowing for processing rates of up to 384 kHz.
