Reviews

Pickin' and grinnin'
I have been playing banjo with nickel fingerpicks (Dunlop 0.025). They are good and work well. Then, I saw Deering's post on Facebook about the ProPik brass version. They claimed it made for a more old-time sound. Curious, I ordered 2 sets from Sweetwater, giving me a spare if I lost one. After playing them for a week, I can agree with the slightly less bright tone (more mellow) and perhaps a bit less string noise. The split wrap makes it much easier to get a comfortable fit and brass is a softer metal, so they are easier to adjust. Since I'm pretty good about not losing picks, the other set went to my Dobro, where the sound difference is also similar. For the price, it's worth giving them a try.
