Add Harp to Your Pianoteq Rig!
The Modartt Pianoteq Concert Harp Add-on expands your sonic palette with the smooth tones of a meticulously modeled Salvi concert grand harp. With the Pianoteq Concert Harp Add-on, you can play pinch harmonics (flageolets) and glissandos. In addition, it features a diatonic mode with seven virtual pedals that let you change the pitch of the strings and play in all keys. The concert harp boasts 47 strings affixed to a soundboard, and it's played with the fingertips of the first four fingers of both hands. Because there is no string damping, the harp has a magical quality to its sound - and Modartt's Pianoteq Concert Harp Add-on captures the essential character of this lovely instrument with astounding accuracy.

Pinch harmonics are played on a harp with a double-hand action which consists of simultaneously plucking while lightly touching the string in the middle. This generates even-order harmonics, producing a note which is one octave higher than the note you're plucking. A glissando is effected by quickly gliding your fingers across the strings. Due to the distinct finger position required, glissando notes are usually of a different timbre than when played singly. Sweetwater engineers with experience recording the harp are impressed by the realism with which Modartt's Pianoteq Concert Harp captures and conveys these and other harp-playing techniques.
