Your Path to a Classic Effects Combination

The Pathways Reverb + Tremolo pedal from Source Audio combines precisely engineered reverb and tremolo effects into a single enclosure with plenty of room for exploration. Seven classic reverb styles and three tremolo options are at your command, allowing you to create such sonic textures as vintage-style spring reverbs, tape echoes, harmonic trem, and much more. The familiar control set gives you instant access to your Reverb Mix, Reverb Time, Tremolo Speed, and Tremolo Depth, while the dedicated footswitches allow you to isolate or combine effects. Stereo Ins and Outs add further sonic enhancement, offering versatile routing to multiple amps or consoles. What’s more, four onboard presets are at the ready for you to save your favorite settings for instant future recall. Add in remote control via external pedals, MIDI, and the available Neuro 3 app, and Pathways becomes a veritable effector that adapts to any pedalboard configuration you can dream of.

Studio-grade 'verbs and tremolos

Pathways is designed with a host of tweakable features to make crafting your most interesting sonic textures simple. In fact, old-school rockers and sound designers alike here at Sweetwater give high praise to the intuitive control set. To start, seven unique reverb styles are available to choose from, replicating the celebrated ‘verbs' in recorded history. From vintage-style Spring reverb to large Hall, natural-sounding Echo to studio-inspired Plate, Pathways provides the tapestry you need to craft spatial perfection. Familiar Time, Tone, and Mix knobs provide further control.

You also get three types of tremolo effects — Harmonic, Opto, and Bias — each with varying degrees of stutters and modulation. Harmonic provides phaser-like modulation while Bias delivers smooth motions. For aggressive chop, switch to Opto Tremolo and dial in some glitchy goodness. With variable tremolo speed and a three-position rhythmic switch, you can design your ideal tremolo with or without syncopation. Lastly, four preset slots allow you to save and recall tones at will, giving you the flexibility to instantly adapt to any musical environment.

Expansive control options

Whether you're a fan of the streamlined pedalboard or prefer complex rig building, Pathways adapts to your workflow with ease. You get separate footswitches to activate your reverb and tremolo sounds independently, with an option to adjust your tremolo speed in real time with the included Tap Tempo. Additionally, the 3.5mm TRS Control input connects to your expression pedal to expand direct control of your assigned effects, and MIDI IN/THRU jacks enable full MIDI implementation, so you can keep your focus where it’s needed most — your performance.

Unlock and preserve your presets with Neuro 3

Ultimate control of Pathways awaits with the Neuro 3 app from Source Audio. Connecting the USB-C port on the back of your pedal to your Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android device enables Pathways to access deep control features in the Neuro Editor. Here you can drag and drop your perfectly sculpted preset directly to your hardware, manage your presets in cloud storage, and access over 10,000 presets from Neuro 3’s online community, each ready to be instantly incorporated into your pedal's onboard preset bank.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Reviews

It's in there.
If there is a term/reverb sound in your head, you can find it here. The range of possibility is amazing. The reverbs are amazingly lush - and you can go all the way to delay sounds (and a really great snapback!). The tremolo settings are all you would expect, and there is stereo available that will blow your mind. Plenty of pre-sets are available, and there is MIDI - but it uses one of those small 1/8" jacks, which requires some adapting. There is also their Neuro 3 thing, but I haven't used that yet. My only gripe is that I wish it was easier to select a pre-set without having to mash that little button, or using a MIDI control - but that's because I'm fat and old...
