Avoid the tap dance!
I have bought two of these now and these work great for non-midi loop switchers. Hotone delivers for the price you pay, for sure. It works great right out of the box the the dedicated tuner bypass works great as a tuner/mute switch.
Switching platform
I figured I'd try this switcher out for the purpose of limiting my tap dancing skills on the pedalboard, I've seen some pretty extensive/ expensive units out there on the market, . I also seen some extremely busy boards as well mine is not that complex but, none the less I bought this patch kommander and I must say it made life much easier especially out on the stage . It can get pretty dark out there but thing lights up nice the buttons are well separated and it's got a buffer built in , very impressive, it even switches my amp head channels clean/ overdrive. All in all works great hopefully it will stand the true test of time . Highly recommend if your a basic 6/8 pedal guy if you have more than than that maybe look at something with more input capabilities.
Great switcher
I bought this to eliminate the tap dancing with my pedalboard effects, it is buffered and has tuner input for my small profile tuner also has an amplifier channel button to switch from clean to growl of my orange amplifier head. Only downside is not enough switches for all the different types of pedals I have on my board. Could have maybe designed it for 6 channels. But sounds great I just leave space where the pedals I want to switch out for easy swap.
Worked until it didn't
Pedal switchers are necessities if you have too many pedals. This is a cheap unit with basic functionality. More than enough functionality for most of us amateurs. However, it stopped working after 9 months. Power lights flicker and it dies after I plug it in. This isn't the quietest unit and there is audible clicking in the audio path with the switches. If I was taking it out of the basement I wouldn't be happy with the audible clicks in the signal path, but for basement, no worries for the cost savings.
Best thing you could purchase
This has to be the best item for any guitarist. For years I have fumbled around with my pedal boards constantly rearranging them trying to get the pedals to at least try to work together and now they can.
Good Switcher
This switcher is extremely easy to use. The features are easy to understand. The auto-save feature is my favorite. If you want to make a small board/fly rig, and you don't need MIDI, this is the switcher to get. I am impressed with the construction and design. Big thanks to my rep Cliff Hackleman in assisting with my decision.
Perfectly Simple
This is the perfect solution to my pedal quandaries. Even without venturing too far from my basement, pedal hum and signal degradation from my pedal addiction sucks. My Deluxe Reissue was sounding horrible from such a lousy signal as well. Boosters put the hum on mega drive. recording at low volume wasn"t possible with a tele and amp and my pedals. This little thing cleaned up everything. Pedals never ran quieter. Could they be quieter? I have no clue, but my basement setup is now off to a new level. Hum is greatly reduced, signal is cleaner and more powerful and the amp sounds way better. I guess you pay more to switch up loop order, but for a simple dude, this has saved me mucho pedalaches. This is a must-have for all pedal addicts.
Good Switcher
It works well. Low noise and only takes up one rail on a pedal train. I am happy but for one issue, the send/return jacks are too close together. This limits the kind of patch cable that you can use. I ended up having to buy a lot of new cables.
