Upright 2 x 12" Cab for Your Terror Head

Orange amps and cabinets have been rock royalty since 1968. Today, Orange celebrates 50 years of amplification excellence with a new series of lightweight, vertical cabs specially sized for the Terror series of amp heads.

The 2 x 12" PPC212V is easy traveling without sacrificing tone or durability. The cabinet itself is made from 15mm (0.6") birch plywood. Inside, Celestion G12 Neo Creamback 12" speakers deliver incredible punch, warmth, and definition courtesy of their powerful neodymium magnets and carefully tuned, vintage-voiced frequency response. Recessed side handles save your back en route to the stage and back, while wraparound corners protect your cab from inadvertent damage in handling. Give your lunchbox-sized amp head the look and tone it deserves with the Orange PPC212V speaker cabinet from Sweetwater.

Fantastic Tone, Looks, and Build Quality

Fantastic cab, absolutely love the rounded tones this gives that are never harsh or piercing. Weight and the small vertical footprint were also key reasons for picking this one up (pun intended!). The build is solid and it looks fantastic with my Rocker 15 Terror lunchbox amp; I think this would pair great with any of the small wattage Orange amps. The black color will look sharp in any space and I expect to enjoy it for a very long time!

Incredible

The sound that comes from this cab is like a hug.
It's also a hug you can lug up and down stairs all night if you had to. I've run both micro terrors and my AC15c through this cab so far and couldn't be happier. Waiting on my orange super crush to complete the rig. Big thanks to Joe for putting up with my never ending questions and getting me what I really needed. I would highly recommend this cab and sweetwater to any and everyone. Thanks guys!

Orange you glad I reviewed this?

I've only spent a few weeks with this and already I'm enjoying the main reason I got this thing… because it's extremely portable very light but sturdy. Gigged with it a week ago and it looks killer on stage and really has a great sound to it. Was a able to dial out a bit of bass because the cab is boomy at first but it will break in soon enough.

Better than expected

Coming from a SuperCrush 100 combo, I'm using this cab with a SuperCrush 100 head. Big difference in how much thicker, fuller and richer the sound is coming from this 2x12 cab with SuperCrush head and the one 150w Celestion in the SuperCrush Combo. Combo more punchier, and thinner (still sounds great and is very LOUD). Head and cab are worth every penny. When cranked up to 90% volume (master and channel) head and cab sound is noticeably more cleane and full vs the combo. Very happy I made the investment.

Orange and my PRS MT-15

All I can say is wow. I have owned a 1x12 Orange Cab for a long time. Always sounds great, but I had this custom vertical 2x12 cab since 2010. It sounded decent, but in reality I always liked the warmth and punch from my 1x12. I was contemplating just buying another 1x12 and stacking them for gigs, but then would have to split the Ohms to both Cabs. Not really an issue, but I felt just be easier to have the 16 OHMs naturally and have best of both worlds. It worked out better than I could have imagined. I think Orange is the leader in punchy, hard rock, warm tone cabinets. I admit I'm not a huge fan of their amps, but have owned one and played through and they are great sounding, IF you want that Orange Tone. But so far my MT-15 and even my Blackstar HT-Metal (5 watt head) sound so good with this cabinet.

They are expensive, maybe slightly over priced with inflation, Biden, and the dollar taking a beating, but I think worth the coin if you want a light cabinet that sounds awesome. Orange Cabs, JOB WELL DONE!
