Drake’s Pete Christlieb Masters Series Tenor Mouthpiece
The Drake Mouthpieces Pete Christlieb Masters Series Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece is Aaron Drake’s take on the “Bullet Chamber” design that renowned tenor player Pete Christleib has played for over 50 years. With its specially calibrated baffle contour, the Christlieb Masters Series Tenor delivers a lively and present sound throughout all registers of your horn. It also features a long silver-plated banding on the shank that assists in focusing the core vibrational frequencies and generates prodigious projection. “For a guy who has played on the same mouthpiece for 54 years, my new Aaron Drake re-creation is incredibly accurate,” says Christleib. The Drake Mouthpieces Pete Christlieb Masters Series Tenor Sax Mouthpiece is available in three tip opening sizes: 7(.105-inch, 8 (.110-inch), and 9 (.115-inch).
Made of proprietary vintage resin
The Drake Mouthpieces Pete Christlieb Masters Series Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece is handcrafted from Drake’s proprietary “vintage resin.” This resin incorporates ceramic into a composite material that retains the desirable characteristics of traditional hard rubber but with enhanced acoustical properties, hardness, and durability. The result is a mouthpiece that will serve you well for decades. Handmade to order by Aaron Drake, the Pete Christlieb Masters Series Tenor Sax Mouthpiece comes with a cap, Drake’s Quad Point ligature, a Rovner L-1M ligature, and a velvet pouch.
