On top of that, Fender ‘70s vintage-style stamped tuners and a Hipshot Bass Xtender make drop tuning a breeze. If you're looking for a bass to lead your sonic assault, then grab the Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass and start laying down the low end!

Thanks to its vintage-style alnico split single-coil Precision Bass pickup, you can count on the Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass to pump out dynamically intense and deeply satisfying bass tone. Whether you play with a pick or your fingers, you'll be impressed by the clear sound and serious sonic impact of this heavyweight bass guitar.

When you want thick mids and iconic J Bass growl, turn to the Seymour Duncan STKJ2B Jazz Bass pickup in the bridge position on your Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass. This high-output stacked single-coil pickup is perfect for rock and metal. Wound slightly hotter, the STKJ2B delivers the big midrange you need to rock out. Duff and Fender got it right

I can't say enough about this bass. From the hip shot, PJ pickups, precision body, and jazz neck this thing is built for speed. I was a little nervous about buying this one being a signature bass but don't let that hold you back it's well worth the money. I love the fact that Sweetwater gave me the option to hand pick my bass from there inventory. I picked one with the darkest fretboard to match the blacked out bass. If your new to Sweetwater buy with confidence my bass came in tune and adjusted perfectly.

Killer Bass!!

For an instrument to be fun to play and elevate the sound of the person playing it then it needs to feel good when you hold it, feel good when you play it, sound good, and look cool and this Bass checks all of those boxes for me! Thank you to Duff and the team at Fender for making such a killer player friendly Bass!

It booms.

One of the best basses I've ever played. I'm not a Duff fanboy, but, I do like him; I bought this because of the specs. The neck profile is fast. I switch between guitar and bass for my band. Transitioning between my Jackson, LP Studio, and this bass is super easy. The sound is thick. Using the stock Fender pickup with the SD makes a nice low rumble with tight mids and smooth highs. I've played a lot of American Fenders, and this is just as good, if not better than some. We play in drop C, and this handles it well (Using 110-50). The Hipshot is nice. Works great going from D standard to drop C, stays in tune just fine. Overall, this is one amazing instrument.

WOW

I was talked into buying this Guitar and all I can say is WOW. Was never a fan of signature stuff but this Bass has everything you could need to play any style music. The hipshot is kick*** an added dimension.

Do yourself a favor give this a try! It's a P-Bass on steroids lol

NOT YOUR AVERAGE MIM FENDER

This is an exceptional bass and I am now the proud owner of the ‘ Black Beauty’... let’s start with the made in Mexico Fender stereotype. If you’re a Fender MIA snob stop reading now because you’ll be miffed by what I’m about to say. This bass is a thing of beauty in every conceivable way. Yes- it’s a Precision... Yes- its Mexican... Yes-it costs a bit more than a typical MIM bass. However... all of the attributes you would associate with a well made ‘American’ Fender are in this model. Duff McKagan and the Luthiers at Fender have come up a stunning all around P-bass that is reliable , comfortable to wear , adaptive to any music style and yes- a sight to behold. The neck is fast and stable. The frets are well seated and comfortable to play over. The white block inlays are great on a dark stage. The Hipshot tuner is tried and true (The other three a little stiff). The pickup configurations, winding, and TBX tone circuit turn the bass into a chameleon with a serious predator growl. 20 years playing as a pro and I own three custom shop fenders, one MIJ and now this Mexican beauty. Great sound with a killer design and playability. Much praise to Duff and Fender for this gem. SWEETWATER... thanks as usual for your commitment to service and always sending me flawless basses sight unseen.
