Exceeded my expectations

This is my first cajon and it's working out beautifully. From the deep bass sound to the snare effect it sounds great. It has lived up its claims, something you don't experience everyday.

I am an old guy and my hands can't take a beating like they used to get playing the congas. In fact I haven't played for awhile because of that. So I bought the Vater Cajon Brushes along with the Cajon. They add a great deal of sound variety to my playing and are obviously easy on my hands. An excellent enhancement to the Cajon! Being the "geezer" I am I also got the Cajon Throne which is quite comfortable.

Finally, I got "The Raven" design because I have a black dog named Raven (see photo). But I also find that people really love the design on the Cajon, so it is great to leave out as an extra seat.

The Raven was a success

I am amazed at the sound from this Cajon. The Raven was a success at Open Mic night. I am so happy with this new purchase. I would definitely recommend this to other percussionist. I have been playing the Cajon for 6 months and this is my second Pearl Cajon and I love both of them. Thank you Sweetwater for great service and thank you Pearl for making better than Quality percussion drums and Cajons.

These are great bang for the buck

I got one of these for my daughter after another kid at my church had gotten a similar Pearl one. It looks great with the art-work on it. The snare has a nice crisp quality and the ported bass hole has a nice boom to it, given that the box itself isn't huge. You can't beat the value for the money. I plan to get myself one with the other art-work. I have a larger cajon I like and can still use for certain sounds (latin woody tones), but definitely want the sounds from this cajon in my arsenal as well.
