The legs n brackets on my Pearl MMX Masters maple flr tom (assembled April-May 1994) needed a change out. Because I had a backup TH900s Uni-Lock tom holder and an xtra clamp,the OptiMount was alot cheaper.
Now the flr tom has the resonance of a rack tom,and I'm getting deeper low end;for a significant improvement in sound,consider mounting your flr tom
