Mixing in Surround without a Surround Setup
The Waves Nx Head Tracker is my go to device for surround mixing! Of course, you need the required WAVES Software that it supports, but this is a serious money saver and game changer! You can deliver in 5.1, 7.1, and other formats without the need for multiple speakers. You can do it all right in the box. I use a pair of Sennheiser HD600's with my Nx Head Tracker, and they serve me well!

Incredibly Nice HeadTracking unit!
I really love the Waves Nx Head Tracker! I use mine with the Waves Abbey Road Studio 3 plugin. The Head Tracker really allows you to experience being in an actual 3D recording space. It connects to my DAWs (I personally use StudioOne 4 Professional and Logic Pro X) nicely! After experiencing mixing with the Waves Head Tracker, it is hard to imagine working on any project without it. The unit easily attaches to your headphones easily and doesn't seem to add any weight at all. The single battery (requires a single AAA) lasts incredibly long. Beautiful unit!

This is NOT Win 7 compatible!
I had to give this a 3 star review because I can't give it a 5, since it doesn't work for me, and it's not fair to give it a 1. After receiving my Head Tracker it would not pair with my DAW despite have Bluetooth 4 with BLE (low energy) as listed in the system requirements. After contacting Waves Tech support (very quick response) I was informed that the HT only works with Win 8.1 or Win 10 in the Windows world. My DAW runs a very stable Win 7 that I'm hesitant to upgrade just for this. Those of you running Macs should check the system requirements at Waves to make sure your have the right OS.

Windows 10 Features Now Limited (Discontinued)
I was really excited to get this as I've been playing in VR for over a year now and saw how "real" a virtual visual and auditory world could seem. However, after receiving this today then spending a few hours trying to find all the software needed on the Waves website I found that while they are still advertising all these features on the website (gaming, video, music on desktop and mobile) they actually discontinued and stopped selling the app you need to do all of this, the Waves Nx for Windows App (as seen in the "Use Nx on your laptop/desktop" video above). I only randomly came across the post on the Waves Support page on their website and didn't show up in my searches for how to download the app. In fact, the website kept showing me a pop-up to buy the app, but when I would put it in my cart and try to check out, it would say the cart is empty. Yes, they say they are still supporting the mixing plugin inside your DAW, but I was planning on also using this for the surround entertainment options and that's no longer an option.
