The Numa X Piano 88 gives you unprecedented access to an array of premium tones, including physically modeled acoustic and electric pianos, multi-sampled instruments, and wave shaping sound generators. Additionally, the Numa X Piano GT provides a robust FX section, with 8 insert effects for each key zone and master delay and reverb effects. A dedicated DSP effects engine for acoustic pianos brings enhanced realism to your performances with string and duplex resonances, release, key off and damper noise sounds. On top of that, you’re free to customize your FX chains and store them alongside your favorite programs.

Real-time parameter editing with the innovative UXlogic interface

With the Numa X Piano 88, Studiologic endeavored to create a user interface that strikes an ideal balance between an elegant, streamlined look and an intuitive menu navigation system. The result is the innovative UXlogic adaptive color user interface, which leverages a gorgeous color display and color-coded encoders to visually guide you through the Numa X Piano 88’s numerous functions. The color-coded encoders are automatically synchronized to a selected zone, and, along with the easy-to-read display, they allow you to access and tweak sounds effortlessly in real time!

Cutting-edge Fatar keyboard has a true piano feel

Studiologic knows that two of the most important aspects of a digital keyboard are its feel and playability. That’s why they equipped the Numa X Piano 88 with a cutting-edge Fatar hammer-action keybed: the Fatar TP/110. Designed for professional-class digital pianos, the TP/110 comprises 88 keys, featuring three contacts and monophonic aftertouch. Keyboardists at Sweetwater attest that the Fatar TP/110, does a remarkable job of capturing the experience of playing an acoustic piano — it’s the closest you’ll find in a digital keyboard!

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Great Piano for Live Performance!

As someone who gigs a lot, I was pretty frustrated with the pianos I was using, because it was hard to see the controls and make on-the-fly changes. My rig consists of the weighted 88 on the bottom tier of a 2-tier stand, so I was literally bending down and poking my head in, trying to find the next sound, or make adjustments during a song.

With the Numa, all of that is history! Of course, it pays to be prepared, by setting up all the basics and programming favorites. But, once done, my hunting and pecking days were over! For instance, I'd set up the Pop Grand on Ch 1, with a Dyno on 2, String Section on 3. Just by doing that, most of my set was covered. It's just a matter of tapping the color of the sound I want to layer in or layer out, and just spinning the respective dial to get the right level for each patch. This especially comes in handy to, say, up the volume of the strings during a song. You can use the color-coded dial, or pedal it in.

Being on stage, I really don't have the time or patience to go through a bunch of menus and sub-menus to be able to do the above kinds of tasks. The Numa eliminates most, if not all of that.

Besides all that, the Piano sounds are ridiculous (I mean that in the best way!) If you close your eyes and play the German Grand (Bosendorf, I think?) It's totally believable. The Upright will bring you back to Auntie Matilda, leading choir practice. The Electrics are really good too. With one tap, you can add a phase, chorus, flange, to really get the authenticity of the track you're playing.

So, once again, fellow Keyzies, if you're looking for a great board made for gigging musicians with superior sounds, look no further. Oh, and the price is right, and it weighs substantially less than others I've had.

Best in the price range

I am really really impressed with this thing! The 4 channel mixer alone makes it worth the cost, not to the mention the quality sounds! I realllly love the Rhodes on this thing! All of the effects sounds great and really easy to assign as well!

Excellent Digital Piano for Stage or Studio

PROS:
The sound: Very nice selection of pianos, EPs, Synth, orchestral instruments. The AC's and EP's are outstanding , With a good set of speakers, it's Scary realistic. The lows and highs are amazing! So glad I ordered the 88 version. Maybe the best Rhodes sound yet, with some tweaking... and tweaking is so easy... which brings me to...

The Operating System: OK, I work in a very technical industry (Lighting Design). I do not appreciate creative machines that are difficult to use. Whoever came up with the editing concept behind the Numa Piano X deserves a raise! I have yet to look at the manual. It's amazingly easy to edit any patch. It just all makes sense.

The Keyboard and Action: Yes, there is a lot of chatter about this. But this keyboard looks and feels expensive. And after playing it for 8 hours, my hands are fine (and they are pretty screwed up, believe me!) I tried most of the competitors, and I could never find a keyboard that felt good. Either too light, or too noisy, or too hard, and none of them had the feeling of quality that the TP110 has. I would love to try the TP400!

Future Sample Library: This is pretty exciting. The ability to add to these already excellent sounds is pretty cool. Could be a Nord killer.

Polyphony: 300 voices... A ridiculous amount.

Internal Mixer: If I were to gig with this board, everything would go through it! Maybe in my studio as well.

Size and Weight: Will fit in a 76 key slim case (nice)... And 31 lbs for a 88 key hammer action board? Case closed.

Factory Presets: Excellent variety of great sounding combinations. Had a blast playing them.

The Look. Beautifully organized and aesthetically pleasing. Plus it's not red (just kidding, Nord fans).

The Price: $1550... Love the Italians!

CONS:
No Pitch/Mod Wheels: What's with these stupid sticks?

The "Hammond" Sounds: If you can't do it right, don't do it at all. Otherwise you are just ******* us off! (That goes for you too, Yamaha!)

External Power Supply: Really? Oy vey!
