Take Your Strat’s Performance to the Next Level

Whether you’re putting together a “Partscaster” or looking to take your stock instrument to the next level, Fender’s Satin Roasted Maple Stratocaster Neck should be at the top of your list! This neck’s roasted maple construction dramatically increases structural stability, offering superb resistance to shifting due to seasonal or environmental changes. A sleek, slim Flat Oval profile and 12-inch radius ensure peak performance across all 22 of this neck’s jumbo frets, forming the ideal platform for technique-heavy guitarists or any musician whose playability tastes skew toward the “modern” end of the spectrum. Lastly, Sweetwater guitarists particularly appreciate how this neck’s combination of a smooth satin finish and comfortably rolled fret ends deliver a nearly frictionless feel in the palm of your hand.

Note: Every neck and guitar are different, and a final setup, including filing the nut slots and a final fret leveling, may be required after installation on your guitar. Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer if you have any questions about upgrading or replacing the neck on your Fender guitar or bass.

Roasted maple neck and fingerboard

What’s so special about roasted maple? In comparison to a standard maple neck, a roasted maple neck’s lower moisture content is said to increase structural stability. This results in greater resistance to changes in environment, ensuring that your neck relief and overall setup remain solid for much longer than with a standard maple neck. Finally, roasted maple’s dark amber hue imparts an elegant edge to any instrument’s aesthetics.

Fender Satin Roasted Maple Stratocaster Replacement Neck Features:

  • Roasted maple construction provides superb structural stability that’s highly resistant to seasonal and environmental shifting
  • Flat Oval profile is sure to please technique-heavy players and guitarists who favor a slimmer neck profile
  • Matching 12-inch-radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets for effortless playability and fret-out-free bends
  • Sleek satin finish and rolled fingerboard edges grant a broken-in feel from day 1
  • Designed to fit on many Squier and Fender Stratocaster models
What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

Note: While Certified Open Box items from Fender do not include the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation warranty, you can shop with confidence knowing that this item is backed and covered by Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items

Reviews

Perfect Fit
Thanks for great Sweetwater service — I had ordered another neck, but returned it before ever opening it when I saw this come available, and my sales engineer made it easy.

This neck fit perfectly into my secondhand Player strat, without any modifications. New locking tuners went right into place. Frets were ready to go, and didn't need to adjust the truss at all from the box. Just had to file the nut a bit, and drill/install a string retainer. It was also a good nudge to do a proper setup, which I never really did when I acquired the guitar!

Playability is great, both in terms of finish and the fret radius. I also own a Charvel — neck has similar finish, though not as dramatically flat.

I attached a photo or two for color comparison to a regular maple neck. It is definitely darker than standard maple, but not as brown as the pictures may appear.

Great choice, only nit is the lack of a pilot hole for the string retainer!

It’s impossible to imagine a world without Fender guitars, and if you’re like many of the guitarists at Sweetwater, then Fender not only made the first guitar you ever bought " they made the last one too! From building the first mass-produced solidbody electric guitars and basses in the 1950s to creating some of the most influential amplifier designs in history, it’s no wonder why Fender is one of the biggest names in the business. As one of the world’s largest Fender dealers, we have countless guitars, basses, amps, effects pedals, and accessories in stock and ready to ship, whenever you need them. We’re always getting our hands on their latest creations, and there’s nothing we love more than to tell our customers all about them! So, whether you’re looking for your first axe or a Custom Shop creation, make sure to give your Sweetwater Sales Engineer a call at (800) 222-4700.
