Clonewheel Classic

The Mojo Classic is the latest revision of Crumar’s acclaimed dual-manual clonewheel organ. Its predecessor, the Mojo XT, has been very popular at Sweetwater, and the Mojo Classic carries forward the tradition with a new cutting-edge DSP platform and a sleek new design. Powered by the renowned GSi VB3-II tonewheel simulation, the new Mojo Classic perfectly captures the authentic response and tone of the most coveted vintage A-, B-, and C-series tonewheel organs, letting you save and recall those settings at an instant. The Crumar Mojo Classic is the ultimate portable clonewheel for the most demanding organists. It’s elegant and easy to use, easy to transport and most importantly, its drawbars, knobs, switches, and waterfall keys feel like the real deal. From juicy rhythms with chunky overdrive to wailing leads with lifelike percussion effects, the Mojo Classic has the essential sounds players will love for blues, jazz, rock, and gospel music. The realistic onboard stereo rotary speaker simulator is a stunning emulation of a classic, and is a great way to add depth and drama to your recordings and live sets.

Mojo evolution

When it comes to digital clonewheel organs, Crumar may control the high ground; but they’re not resting on their laurels. Since the first Mojo in 2012, the Mojo line has accumulated a loyal following among serious professional organists, and Crumar has been listening to their feature requests and incorporating these upgrades into each iteration of this modern classic. Many keyboard players wanted to be able to use their Mojo as a controller keyboard, so the Crumar added advanced USB-MIDI functionality to their XT. The Mojo Classic inherits all these refinements, along with a new state-of-the-art DSP engine hosting the next-generation GSi VB3-II tonewheel emulation. All of which makes the Mojo Classic a force to be reckoned with, both onstage and in the studio.

Realistic tonewheel organs with powerful shaping controls

It’s hard to beat a classic tonewheel organ for jazz, blues, and classic rock. And perhaps even tougher to re-create one through samples. That’s why Crumar of Italy resorted to tone modeling to capture the sought-after vintage sounds in its Mojo Classic clonewheel. The Mojo Classic’s onboard tone generators re-create the characteristics of actual vintage organs, and even let you create your own for a totally unique sound. Two groups of nine authentic physical drawbars will have you customizing your tone in seconds. Then add in spring/digital reverb, chorus, or vibrato for depth; or dial in overdrive to give your parts additional girth, presence, and grit.

The classic feel of waterfall keys

Quality crafted in Italy, the Crumar Mojo Classic is built tour-tough for years of faithful service. This country is famous for their world-class keybeds, so naturally, Crumar paid special attention to the design and manufacture of the instrument's most intricate moving parts. These waterfall keys, with their comfortable, gently rounded edges, nail the feel and response of the revered keyboards on the legendary tonewheels, allowing you to perform smooth palm glissandos without damaging the keybed — or your hands. Sweetwater keyboardists know that seasoned players will appreciate the work Crumar has done to create an authentic playing experience in its Mojo Classic. Simply put: it feels fantastic!

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Crumar Mojo Rocks

This organ rocks!!! I've had it on the road since March and had no problems out of it. I run it stereo to get that full sound. I don't even use a Leslie or a vent. Just the organ itself. The overdrive knob gives it that crack. I put it on about the 12 or 1 o clock and it sounds like a 147!!!! This organ plays so nice and sounds amazing. Heck of a job Crumar!!! Thank you!

Hammond must hate this one

Talk about clones? This instrument is fantastic. After watching many videos on YouTube exploring organs, especially dual manuals I looked at my budget. I was looking for a Hammond Sk2-73, but they tried the old bait and switch. I decided to do next best thing. Well, I got a BIG SURPRISE. The MOJO arrived new and ready to serve it up. Talk about getting in the race; this organ was, is running neck and neck with the B3. You can't beat the price, craftsmanship and quality of this machine. It came with a logo sticker to put on it, or a case. After playing this for an hour, putting a decal or sticker would be disrespectful to it. FANTASTIC BUY.

Did Crumar Finally Get it Right???

I purchased by Crumar Mojo Classic Organ about 6 months ago from Sweetwater Sound. It was a very cautious purchase since I previously owned a Crumar Mojo Dual (2nd version with improved keybed) and I had a litany of problems with it even though when working sounded great. Most of the problems were related to the very cheap unstable external Power Supply. I could not afford a MAG was pretty much done with H-S. The Legends did not excite me either. The design of the Classic was deal breaker especially with some of the videos I had seen online. Right out of the box, the Classic really stood out. It plays and sounds amazing. I have it right next to my 58 B3 and the sound is soooo authentic. Also, I have friends that have allowed me to compare to the XK5, two MAGS and the earlier Mojo XT. The XK5 sounded great and a slightly better sounding Percussion but it keep freezing up on its owner. I used it once and it froze up twice. Personally, I thought the Classic and the two different MAGs pretty much sounded identical. I have never taken it out on a show but I play it all the time and have never had any problems of any kind. My only complaint is that it did not come with an 11 pin output since I have a Leslie 3300. I bought it in late 2021 and that seems odd not to include that. We all want to play our clonewheels into a real Leslie Speaker - right?? I bought an Eleven Connector Box and it cam with no instructions and a European external power supply - talk about poor quality control. I got a power supply from Sweetwater Sound and it still has not worked correctly. The excuse from Crumar is that they have dedicated their work on having the best Internal Rotary System of any Clone. Well, for my ears it is indeed very good and better than the XK5, Crumar Mojo and one of the MAG organs we compared. The other had the mini vent installed and it was better than the Classic. The Classic can be deeply edited and I have since improved the percussion but have left the Chorus Vibrato alone. Also a little editing on the Internal Rotary and have gotten some improved sounds for sure. For the money this is quite a fine organ. All this needs it the Eleven Pin output and maybe in future a multi Contact type keybed. I am giving it 4 and half stars because of no Eleven Pin output. Hopefully, Crumar will make some changes in the future. Thru one of my Vintage Leslie 122 Speaker Cabinets using my Speakeasy Vintage Tube Preamp, this organ kicks bigtime. So far I have not read any negative reviews regarding dependability and that is a big deal considering Crumar's history. Love the real wood too. By the way, I connected my Neo Vent II to the Classic and that is an improvement over the internal Rotary Sim. Go for it.

Get your MOJO on

I brought one after watching a number of YouTube videos on it from Italy. I have to admit, it did everything they said it would, including sounding like a Hammond B3 than some of Hammond's own other products. For the quality of construction,
design, price and efficiency, you can't beat this instrument. If you buy one, the reason to give it up would be to buy Hammond.
