I have been using Mixcraft since version 8, it has been great and still is.. I highly recommend it.. For this price point it is hard to beat..

Mixcraft has all the features you could want for an "at-home" producer. Great workflow and an easy-to-use interface. As with all DAW's there is a learning curve, but nothing the average person can't handle. It's easy to make music, loops, backing tracks, etc. It is easy to record your music as well. It takes plugins well and has great "ready-to-use" plugins to get you started. It has most of the features of high-end DAW's, but I find it much easier to use. There's also a wealth of information, help videos, and Mixcradt University to answer most questions and help you along the way.

Acoustica Mixcraft is the most underrated DAW on the market. It's samples and editing features are amazing. I own a Studio One 6 Pro which I love. But my go-to is Mixcraft 10 Pro because of its keen versatility and it's quick navigation resulting in completing my songs.
