Classic Auto-wah Effects Made Easy

If you're a player with an affinity for classic auto-wah sounds, but you prefer streamlined controls, you'll dig the Electro-Harmonix Micro Q-Tron. This stompbox is powered by an internal envelope follower, which analyzes the dynamics of your playing to determine the intensity of the wah effect. When you pick harder, you'll get a wider frequency sweep; when you pick more softly, you'll produce a subtler sound. And It's a breeze to dial in — a few twists of the Micro Q-Tron's three knobs is all that stands between you and all the funky, Garcia-style quack you can handle. The Micro Q-Tron features true-bypass switching, and it's housed in a rugged, road-ready die-cast chassis that's compact enough for even the most crowded of pedalboards. Players searching for an easy-to-use envelope filter pedal owe it to themselves to plug into the EHX Micro Q-Tron.

Streamlined, 3-knob layout

The full-sized Q-Tron pedal is a lot to digest — it's a bit intimidating. That's why Electro-Harmonix created the Micro Q-Tron. This compact stompbox is tailor-made for players who want to plug in and rip through a couple bars of "Estimated Prophet" without a ton of tweaking. The Micro Q-Tron includes a Drive control that sets your sensitivity and filter sweep range; a Q control that sets the filter's bandwidth from smooth to all-out funky; and selectable lowpass, band-pass, or highpass filters. At Sweetwater, we've found that you can dial in this stompbox in a matter of minutes. The Micro Q-Tron is one of the easiest ways to achieve old-school auto-wah effects.

Electro-Harmonix Micro Q-Tron Envelope Filter Pedal Features:

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Electro Harmonic Micro Tron
I got this because Hadrian Feraud uses it. I like the fact that the effect amount is related to how hard you hit the string. As a finger only style bassist I like this. Using the effects knobs is a little wonky but with twerking there is a wide range available.
It did not come with a wall wart and you have to unsrrw the metal plate to access the 9 volt. I don't think at 100ma it is compatible with my Boss ones. Over all it is the effect I was looking for.
My favorite pedal on my board!
I bought this thing when I was researching some Radiohead sounds when I first started getting into pedals about 7 months ago. Was trying to decide between this and the DOD 440. Ended up choosing the Q tron because of price and recommendation from a family member. Boy am I glad I listened! Within minuets of plugging this into my board I found some awesome tones! I still live in that Radiohead type tone, and this thing is perfect for some weird modulation that I love. Even experimented with some funk tones and had awesome results. Would totally recommend!
Awsome
This pedal is crazy cool makes you get into your playing and pushes you beyond!!!! Love it allows you to go where you choose love it Rock On G Nee......
Music background: Guitar @ Bass player .
Sound like Jerry G !
Got this to play a few G. Dead songs. Sounds pretty close to Jerry
Positively Funky
Takes a bit to get dialed in just right but ends up with a great great effect for the money! My only regret is that I didn't get it earlier!
