Super-flexible Strobe That Travels Well

From blinders to backlights, quality strobes can amp up any light show. The ADJ Mega Flash DMX provides you with a level of flexibility that goes far beyond the average strobe. For starters, it comes loaded with an 800-watt ZB800 lamp, which pumps out shockingly bright bursts of white light on command. Back-panel controls let you dial in the speed and dimmer settings in the simplest way possible. One of the things Sweetwater DJs love about this portable strobe (it only weighs about five pounds) is its sound-activated mode, which lets it automatically sync to the beat. As the name suggests, the Mega Flash DMX also accepts two channels of DMX, allowing you to easily trigger it from your controller.

ADJ Mega Flash DMX 800W Strobe Light

Awesome product! This strobe helps complete a lighting setup for my DJ gigs. It is capable of syncing the flashes with the beat; however, I program all of my own lighting, so DMX control is an absolute necessity. Since there are only two channels, this is super easy: one channel for intensity, the other for flash rate. However, at 800W, i don't see much difference between the lowest intensity flash and the brightest. They are both super bright. Programming and controlling the flash to fire exactly with certain beats of a song is super easy via my software controller. A little more about having a standard strobe light... some people may not think it is needed in a day and age where LED lighting can be made to flash on any color, but something about having a good old fashioned high-intensity strobe while your wash lights, moving heads and light bars are engaged in other lighting features really completes the setup. Also, the price is right, so why not? The manufacturer includes info about the heat that can be generated by this light, which I presume could be substantial if it was constantly flashing at a high rate for a long time. However, I ran this light synchronized with club music for several hours and the housing was no hotter than any other light. The heat is literally not an issue. Overall, I love this strobe and am very pleased with this purchase.
