Great setup

These are awesome speakers. They sound good, have great battery life and I can link 2 of them for a stereo sound. I had to take off one star because when you connect a mic, it only plays out of one speaker. They should really update these to have the mic play through both speakers when performing.

Updated Review: This thing survived a hail storm

We recently used this for a wedding ceremony in the mountains. There was no electricity available so we used this and the Behringer 1002B battery operated mixer and a Shure FP5 battery operated wireless mic and receiver. The weather suddenly changed, all we had time to do was throw a plastic Hefty trash bag over it. Then it started to hail for 30 minutes. I have a photo of our cables buried under 3" of hail! It was a disaster!

I thought for sure this speaker would be banged up by the hail or broken. But there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. There isn't a ding or scratch anywhere on the body or the grill. We moved the gear inside and had the wedding indoors 30 minutes later and it worked flawlessly.

We continue to be very happy with this speaker for weddings where electricity isn't available. It does the job. Perfectly. If you are considering this speaker for this kind of thing, it's ideal!

Riverside Wedding Ceremony: A Sound Decision

I bought the MPA200BT speaker to use during Wedding Ceremonies for prerecorded music. Prelude, Parents entrance, Bridesmaids, The Bride Processional, Couple Recessional and Postlude music was fantastic. Full and natural sounding. I used it for the rehearsal and the big event.

At the end of rehearsal, the bride asked if they could rehearse the introductions but I wasn't prepared with my regular setup. I was able to quickly plug in the USB dongle and immediately have microphone and bluetooth music for the introductions back at the tent. Amazing.

If I could offer a suggestion it would be to make the wireless microphone available in other formats. I usually use a lav mic hidden in the officiant's portfolio (trade secret) to capture the vows and such. The handheld is a bit clunky for a pastor with her hands full. I need to research this more.

Great PA System

We hold annual events far from accessible electricity, so I used a car battery, and inverter and one of my guitar amps so the audience could hear the speakers.. Then I got this unit.. battery powered, wireless mic - loud and clear and a whole lot more convenient than lugging around the battery, inverter, etc. Worked great.
