Great practice pad. Very very quiet.

I was seeking a very quiet practice pad as I work the night shift and on my days off, my family member who lives in the bedroom right next to me often complains of my percussion. I did some research on YouTube to compare sounds and this seemed to be the most quiet. It has lived up to it's name. In addition, I love the different size and color options. The material is a light foam. The rebound is less which I like because also forces you to work on your hands/fingers techniques to develop endurance. I decided to go with the 12" and get a stand for it as well. Great for rudiment practices. Highly recommend everyone try a Meinl marshmallow pad.

When you live in an apartment, it's hard to be a drummer unless you have a drum pad to keep the noise down. This Meinl Marshmallow Practice Pad is exceptional for keeping the noise down, but more importantly giving me the drum head response that feels and resonds so well. For myself, it's the second one I purchased. The first one was for me. But this one was a gift for my grandchild. We now have a drummer in the making...

I added this pad to my arsenal of practice pads and really love it. It's quiet and provides a great workout and a nice go between my Moongel pads and my Vater gum rubber pad.

I have a drum set back home that I purchased at Sweetwater. We are fortunate to have a condo 3000 miles away so I can see my adult children and grandchildren. Since noise and space was a factor, this Meinl drum pad is perfect for me needs. The stand is a perfect height for sitting in a regular chair. The response when hitting the pad is amazing. Unlike drum pads in the past that moved around, the stick response was not as consistent as this Meinl pad. Sweetwater delivered my order within a week and their service is extraordinary.
