My favorite
Hello, I've been playing bass since about 1996. My previous favorite bass string was a certain rotosound 100 that had a certain dry feel to them and was like dark grey in color but I'm quite certain they changed something in the material recipe and they no longer make them that way………so I came across the GHS boomers after many other strings. In my opinion I think these are THE best! I love my strings warm sounding when they are stretched out and worn in. I've found these to sound better on a jazz style bass than a p bass- the 100 size gauge. I put the 105's on my p basses. But on my G&l deluxe JB that I bought from Colin at sweet water, the GHS 100's are legit!!!
Perfect Colin greenwood radiohead tones, great Adam Clayton early U2 tones, nice Cliffy tones a' la AC/DC too!!
