Discreet Stage Mic for Choirs, Orchestras, and More

The Audix MicroBoom MB8450HC pairs a stand-mounted 84" MicroBoom arm with Audix's high-quality M1250HC mini hypercardioid condenser mic. This unit makes a low-profile solution for overhead stage miking of orchestras and choirs, ambient miking, drum miking, and more. The boom in the MicroBoom MB8450HC package can be used in either a horizontal or a vertical orientation. The upper end of the boom arm features a mini-XLR connector to securely hold the mic in place. The M1250HC has a built-in low noise preamplifier, so no bulky external power supply is needed. If you want a clean, professional, and elegant miking solution, you'll find it in the Audix MicroBoom MB8450HC from Sweetwater.

Internal preamp delivers superb sound

The Audix MicroBoom MB8450HC with included M1250HC condenser mic delivers superb sound. It has a fully integrated preamp and detachable cable, as well as strong shielding from interference. It's a solid overhead mic for choir and group vocals, on acoustic instruments, for ambient room miking, symphonic area miking, speech presentations, cymbals, and more.

Low-profile miking solution

The MicroBoom MB8450HC is an ideal solution for discreet stage miking. The 84" carbon fiber boom weighs in at just 2.5 ounces and attaches to any standard microphone stand. It uses a mini-XLR connector to hold the microphone securely in place. High-quality internal Mogami cable delivers excellent sound to the bottom of the boom, where a mini-XLR male connector keeps cables close to the ground.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Getting the most for the money isn't just a big deal for our customers, it's also what the artists and engineers at Sweetwater look for when we're shopping for our own gear. That's why we're such fans of Audix microphones. Early on, we discovered must-have Audix mics such as the handheld OM2, the tight and punchy D6 kick mic, and the super-versatile i5. You'll also find Audix specialty hardware like CabGrabbers and D-Vice mic holders in our studios and live rigs. Their drum mic bundles offer amazing value, while our house of worship customers love their MicroBoom line for miking choirs. No matter the application, Sweetwater is happy to recommend the right Audix gear for your needs.
