Great mic stand

Light weight, easy to set up and breakdown. Also the hydrologic lock is great for easy adjustment. I love this stand

Compact Quality Mic Stand

Perfect mic stand for someone who needs a compact collapsible mic stand. It's also made from aluminum and metal so it's very sturdy. Adjusting the mic height is as simple as squeezing the lever and releasing. Sweetwater ships their items brand new, in an unopened box and at a fair price. I will buy from Sweetwater again!

Not as good as their previous stand

One of my one-hand tripods was broken by a heavy handed person. I was surprised it happened because I owned them for 20 years and they showed little sign of wear. I gig pretty often so I tried to order parts for the stand so I could repair it. I really love those stands. I was told that the model was discontinued and that no parts were available. I purchased this new similar model to replace it. It is equally sturdy, but not longer fits my mic stand bag because it is considerably longer than the one that got broken. Also, the big knob on the bottom that locks the legs is much harder to turn than the old one. As a geezer with arthritis, I don’t appreciate that. (OK Boomer)

Ultimate support mic stand

When I saw the stand in your website and saw it was a retro I jumped at the chance to get it. After receiving it I noticed a few things. One the bottom post section is longer than the original which makes it difficult to put it in a case unless you can expand the case which I had to do. To the bottom base tripod is a little wider than the old one but still manages to fit in the case no big deal. Three and the most important the tripod base is heavier than the original if you're standing still with a tripod stand it's no big deal but when you're walking around moving around on stage with it it's definitely a lot heavier than the original model. I wish ultimate support systems would make a screw on tripod base back to the 90 specs. It was definitely much lighter. The clutch is the same as the original and that is a good thing. But all in all I wish it was a carbon copy of what I had purchased back in the '90s.

Ultimate support stand

Glad to see they still make the style. However the tube is longer than the normal one if you have a case for it you have to expand the case and if you can't expand it that's not good. And the most negative part of the stand is the weighted base trypod the one before built before 2006 was much lighter easier to move around with this one is much heavier. Good if you're not moving around for stability but if you're moving around with the stand it's a little heavier. Truthfully I wish there was a way to take the weight out of the stand but there is none. Overall a good stand but I wish they reproduced the stand made back in the '90s totally.
