Great light! (Bit bright...)

I purchased two of the LTE-519XLR units for the Venue SC48 mixer at the church I serve with. I purchased these to replace a conventional light bulb, which we only had one of.

Pros:
- Great packaging
- Bang for the buck
- Wide spread of illumination
- LED light has superior throw
- Long bulb life!
- No pieces that may fall off during a gathering (our previous lamp had a little metal throw cover with a mirror inside; if you accidentally tapped it, it had the tendency to fall off, producing a loud metallic *ding* right in the middle of the gathering)

Cons:
- Some of my volunteer engineers have mentioned that the light is a bit harsh on their eyes. The bulbs on this unit extend out beyond the capsule (they are not recessed). While this provides better throw and coverage on the console if the room is dark, some people find the light to be too bright and harsh on their eyes.
- The bendable portion of the light housing is tricky to orient to the proper position. It tends to twist back to a different position slowly over the course of an hour or so. This may just be the case for my two units, and it may improve over time.

Final summary:
The LTE-519XLR console lighting unit is an excellent choice if you are looking for an alternative to conventional lights. The light provides excellent throw and brings clarity to each element of the mixing table. Some volunteers have had issue with the intensity, and the light can be tricky to position at times. For those folks, I have kept our conventional fixture, and volunteers now have the option of LED, Conventional, or no light.

Would definitely purchase again!
