The QSC KS Cardioid powered sub keeps bass in its place

When subwoofers are placed in front of a stage, low-frequency noise radiates from the rear of their cabinets. Too much bass onstage is troublesome. It makes monitoring difficult. Achieving a proper mix is infuriating. And you waste energy by sending low frequencies in the wrong direction. The QSC KS Cardioid powered subwoofer uses manipulation of placement, delay, and polarity to redirect the low-frequency energy forward. Performers onstage experience 15dB less low-frequency output than those in front of the cabinet.

The KS212C keeps bass in its place with a single-box cardioid array that produces an amazing 15dB more output at the front than at the rear.

Bass for you with a smaller footprint

I purchased 2 of these with the intention of reducing my sub footprint. I have QSC KS 181's and these are a little bigger than half the size of those. The bang in the box is still there and I am thoroughly impressed with the sound quality. You will not be disappointed with these. The price tag is considerable, but it's worth it.

Super sub

Adds so much to my QSC K8.2 speakers. Trance music shakes the house and soul with power and clarity. Super happy with it and came with a mounting pole for the speaker to mount to.

Still smiling

I've used these at 30 weddings and 8 rock concerts this year, and I'm still smiling at how wildly punchy and great these are. Such a small profile and you can feel a kick drum from 100+ feet away. It is not uncommon for me to use just one of these for a smaller reception dance floor, at 40% power. I don't run them past 25% when they're stacked.

Powerful

Definitely pumps up the low end like you need. A bit heavy, but 100% worth it, especially with the good build quality on the wheels as well. Would buy a second one if I could fit it in my car!

Second one made the difference.

Just got my second one. I suspect it was Sweetwater's demo as these thing were out of stock for almost 3 years! Everywhere. Worked perfectly. Pole was new. Unused. Figure this demo was long in the tooth and they opted to replace it when new ones finally arrived. These are great, but they definitely work best in pairs. For several reasons. One is you can get rid of the speaker stands! The other is, because they're directional, if you put it in the middle, you don't get enough bass off the sides. One on each side definitely solves that issue. So buy two! But…buying two of these will set you back more than 4gs! When they came out they weren't this high. Inflation has increased the price on the last 3 years more than 25%! Yes. These cost that much more than they did 3 years ago. Now, that's not Sweetwater's fault. That's just what they cost.

These guys absolutely slam! Plenty of power, and punch. Do they hit as low as 18"? No, but plenty low, and unless you're doing "yeh boiii" track spinning, they're more than adequate for any rock band.

Casters are amazingly good! Like some of the best ever. Smooth. Roll over just about anything too. Not too heavy. I think 82lbs? Get the covers. They're not cheap either, but if you're dropping 4Gs on two of these, you'd be pretty dumb to not invest in them to protect these. They truly are an investment.

Tip: If you have an aux to spare on your mixer? Run just the bass, kick drum, and a little keyboard if you like in there. Do this instead of jumping out these to your tops, or reverse of that. You'll not waste any bottom end on unnecessary sounds like vocals and guitars. All that does is steal your power.
