I saw other reviews claiming that the stand is to tall for a seating position, well yes and no... You have the ability to change the way the stand opens and swap the legs to a opposite open position and now you can go as low as you need for your comfortable position.
I will advise you, do not returned, try first the option and you will love the stand is, strong, solid and versatile for standing or seating position.
Great product a the right price.

People who give this a bad review because it sits too high for them to play sitting down are ridiculous. The specs are clearly written in the description. It's not the stands fault that you failed to read the specifications. I say this so that you know you can ignore those reviews because it came to them exactly as it was built. The removable cuffs are a pain but I put gaffing tape on them and they are fine. The opening/closing mechanism is tough and fairly tight. It's quite strong once set up. I use mine for a surface to put the Solid State Logic controller bundle on. It's fantastic for that but it worked great when I tried it with my Yamaha stage piano, which is quite heavy.

I purchased this keyboard stand for My Wife, She really likes it, it holds Her Keyboard Secure and Substantially, and it Looks Great, I made a Smart Choice Selecting the ROLAND BRAND.

Very strong and stable.

This stand is so easy to put together and it's a beast! It can easy handle the largest and heaviest keyboards out there and you can adjust it with one hand. This should be the only keyboard stand Sweetwater sells. :)
