Good stand for the money.

Easy to adjust, seems solid and lots of different positioning possibilities. Fully extended it seems like the base could be a little heavier, but you can always throw a 2 1/2 or 5 pound weight across the base of it to make it heavier for just a few bucks. But I think it'll work just fine as is for my purposes.

Nice

These stands are first class and reasonably priced. From the packaging to the superb craftmanship, these are brilliant stands. For years, I have used boom stands to mike my guitar cabs. This worked fine but used two vocal stands that are needed for that purpose and not cabinet miking. Now, I have freed up two boom stands and replaced them with these two Audix Hd stands for my stacks. These stands have a heavy base and the height adjustment supports my 4X12 cabs nicely and keeps my Audix i5 mikes secure; no worries. If you need to find a short, heavy, secure stand, this is the one.

Great little boom!

Half star for the budget shaft clutch....but all else is very good. The boom itself is very well built and looks very "pro". The weighted base is basically painted concrete, but it works!

Great Kick Stand

The weight is finally where it needs to be, its finally long enough, the price is right. Only one thing needs addressed: since many drummers I have worked with don't cut there heads in a good spot for the mic hole this stand is a little high even in the lowest position, but to its credit it is so positionable you can usually over come this.
