Reviews

Rated 5/5
The best mouthpiece I’ve ever played
There's a reason why so many people rate this as the best mouthpiece ever. It's so easy to play and control, even for an amateur player like myself. I wasn't sure if it was worth spending $ on a single mouthpiece, but I can say it's definitely worth it if you really enjoy playing a lot. I've played on other Jody Jazz pieces like the Jet and Super Jet, as well as a vandoren v16 hard rubber and some 3D printed Syos mouthpieces, and while I liked all those, the DV is really just more free blowing and effortless to play compared to those. I haven't used a reed yet with it that felt too thin on the high end or too stuffy on the low end. It leans to the brighter end of the spectrum, but I would feel comfortable playing this piece in just about any situation except maybe a classical ensemble. Overall, if you take playing the saxophone seriously, you owe it to yourself to at least give this mouthpiece a try. You won't regret it!
