Its USA MonsterTone-J pickups perfectly replicate the look and performance of Schecter's original late-1970s design, by virtue of original-vendor vulcanized fiberboard bobbin construction and eight 0.25"-diameter high-carbon steel pole pieces. Beyond that, you get direct-coupled high-strength ceramic 8 magnet and proprietary-wound USA-made magnet wire. Two distinctly numbered coils per pickup unlock new universes of tone via coil-tapping, which you can activate with the J-4's push-pull tone knob.
