The Offset Impaler gives you added acoustic absorption by mounting the panels 2" off the wall, providing an air gap that handles low-end frequencies better than direct wall mounting. The Impaler attaches to the wall with standard screws, and Auralex recommends using four Impalers per panel of acoustic treatment.
