The pedal that should’ve come with the amp

When first receiving this pedal I thought I had a defective pedal. When plugging in for the first time, the pedal had no control with the push button, the amp would just flash, 1st through the clean channel then to overdrive 1 then to overdrive 2 and would just repeat no matter which button I would push. After a while of trying to make it work I gave up. This was on a Saturday night and could not contact Sweetwater. Left a message for my rep Sean Geyer. First thing Monday morning was contacted be Sean and directed to tech support where Gabe was able to diagnose the problem, when plugging the pedal in for the first time you have to let it cycle for five minutes with the amp just flashing. ( Should be a tech bulletin sent with the pedal as it comes with no manual that this is the case) after the pedal cycled it works great. Complete control over channels and voices as well as reverb and boost, also the LEDs let you know what channel and voice you're on, a big help! At this point I love the pedal and would recommend to purchase this pedal. And as usual, the customer support from Sweetwater is fantastic. Highly recommend this company I feel they go above and beyond!!!

A true necessity

Even if you're not playing on stage, this channel/voice/reverb switcher is a convenient tollway to Blackstar tone.

more possibilities, more control at my feet. The FS-14 works fantastic, I bought the Blackstar HT Club 40 MK11 amp used and without the switch and now with the 5 button switch I am able to unleash all of the amps features. This amp can also use a 2 button footswitch but the 5 button switch access it all.

Sweet water Experience

My experience with Sweetwater has been excellent. My sales associate Tommy Heil has been excellent. I would recommend Sweetwater to anyone. I am really happy with my recent purchases. Most recently, an Ht- fs-14 5way footswitch for my previously purchased HT Club 40 MKll, as well as a Blackstar dept. 10 dual distortion pedal. ( Black). The 5way footswitch really enhances the already versatile amp. Coupled with the gain pedal especially when using the clean channel as a pedal platform. The high gain channels of the amp stand alone as opposed to outboard gain enhancement. Although you can use channel one of the dept. 10 as kind of a tube screamer like boost. Kind of redundant though, as the aforementioned footswitch has a clean boost. Love the amp. At the price it's the best in its class, and comparable to much higher priced amps. It truly is "the sound in my head".. Maybe partially because in the 80's I and my contemporaries predominantly used JCM 800's and this amp gets that Tone plus more. The only thing about internet buying (and this is absolutely no knock on Sweetwater at all) is you can't try before you buy. I had tried the Blackstar out at a brick and mortar and new that I liked it. And then the good news is it was significantly cheaper through Sweetwater. Guitar tone is a very personal thing. What works for you may not work for someone else. Because through a previous sales associate ( not Tommy) I purchased a EVH5150 MKlll on his say so ( not really his fault) Never was comfortable with it. I know a lot of people like them and make them sound quite good. But it wasn't the amp for me. Once again good news, I sold it for more than I paid for it at Sweetwater.

If you have a Blackstar, get this!

I love the features this footswitch unlocks and pedals it replaced. Works great and makes versatility so much more convenient. Call Rob and order this foot.switch
