The preamp and driver sections are driven by matched JJ 12AX7s and 12AU7s, along with Winged C power tubes. This potent combination serves as the heart and soul of the Ampeg Heritage SVT-CL. All of this power and beauty is wrapped up in a soft Tolex covering and decked out with a blackline faceplate. Needless to say, Ampeg fanatics are already lining up for the Heritage SVT-CL!

Simply the best bass amp I've ever used or owned, period.

After nearly two decades of chasing what I perceived to be my "signature sound", I finally had the brilliant idea to stop trying to emulate an SVT and simple GET an SVT. The sound, the power, the harmonics and dynamics of my SVT-CL Heritage and its matching 410HLF cab are just jaw dropping. I actually think I started playing better after getting this amp because I wasn't trying to focus on getting my various other amps and my playing style to sound like an SVT... Now, I just focus on the playing and let the SVT do it's thang.

I am beyond thrilled to be a proud owner of this remarkable and fully capable pro-level amp, and to finally be a member of the Ampeg family. It's been a long journey and, sure, it's a pricey piece of kit, but I've easily spent 10X the cost of this configuration trying to emulate this very configuration over the past two decades. Easily, the best musical purchase I've ever made. Many thanks to Tomir Denton, Sweetwater's finest SE, for bringing this amp and cabinet to my attention. I've finally come home.

Over the top!

I also bought the speaker cab 810e, the combination is way more than I will ever need, but the sound quality is equally over the top, the I have ever had and could not have gotten better with any other brand or a smaller setup.

Bad to the Bone!!’

Absolutely the best bass head ever made!!! I have it and 2 of the 4x10 heritage cabs to go with it. There easer to move then the 8x10 cab. It sounds so Killer. If you want the best get this comb!!!!

My rig is prettier in a tube top

Just no comparison to the solid state head I was using, this is like night and day! From the low end punch to the warmth and clarity of the upper range this amp is superior in all aspects! It makes every bass I plug into it sound better than I thought it could! I would highly recommend!

The best I've ever owned.

Started playing bass about 66 and have owned and played just about every kind that there was. Bought this SVT_CL from Sweetwater and wish now I had bought it years ago. Years ago we left the tubes and went to the trans and now back to the tubes. Can't tell you about this amp, you just have to hear it for yourself. It's the best amp that I have ever owned. Ampeg quality.
