More than a ride!

I was in the market for some lower volume crashes that didn't break the bank, which is harder than you'd think (I'm looking at you, Sabian FRX). I was watching cymbal comparisons when I had an idea: if brass' weakness is less sustain and high pitch, what if you used a brass ride as a crash to increase sustain and lower the pitch?

Turns out, it works! Almost sounds like a typical 18" B20 crash, but 1) it's way less expensive and 2) it's a bit quieter.

Volume-wise it's not "quiet", but it's definitely quieter than bronze crashes and rides of the same size. Great for churches, small venues, and practice spaces.

Nice Cymbal

This cymbal is great for starters. The only minor problem I had with the cymbal is that it can ring a lot. Moongel helps a lot with ring.

Cymbal Overview

This cymbal sounds amazing! It provides a rich sound as it said it did, and is very durable. It has a good bell sound and has amazing sick def. It was a really good deal for such a good cymbal. My only problem: it was on back order, and took 3 weeks to ship!!!

Overall, exceptionally good.

Incredible Value

This a remarkably good ride cymbal. Good balance of stick definition and shimmer. Clear bell sound. I bought this as a starter ride for my son anticipating that he would eventually upgrade to something like the Zildjian A Customs that I play. However, after playing it, I am not sure he will ever need an upgrade. Very nice ride for a bargain price. I would feel perfectly comfortable playing a gig with this ride cymbal.
