first, the salesman recommended this mount for use in a swimming pool, but the video tutorials clearly state that it should not be used like that.
second, i am definitely not a mechanical genius but not an idiot either. after watching two tutorial videos on this mount, I still cannot figure out how to attach the camera to it. like the GoPro camera and App, it is not engineered for intuitive use. it really looks like it's for a different camera. if you buy this mount, make sure:
1) you are using it for what it is designed for.
2) get somebody to show you how to use it.

the suction cup works well, though I have not used it much yet.
