Works as described

Fits good in the gig rig and holds the computer and wi fi

Nice idea, needs some help

This works great and is perfect for my laptop when I want to record the band's performance in a live situation. I’m set up with 8 direct outs on the mixer - into a MOTU 828 mkII. When the AV shelf is in the open position I have full access to the mixer. It’s a good design in that respect.

The AV shelf has carpet over (what I assume to be) ¼” foam. Nice idea to have some padding where put your laptop BUT this design will restrict the air flow into the bottom of your laptop. Either get a laptop bottom cooling fan or expect your laptop to run hot when it’s on the AV shelf. Arrrgh!

Better have a Dremel handy - because I had to grind down the hinges so the AV shelf would close far enough to allow the lid to fit back on without forcing it.

All said and done, I would buy this again because it’s great to have a place for my laptop without having to run a bunch of cables from the mixer over to a table. That’s an accident just waiting to happen.
