Designed to holster Gretsch’s best-sounding percussive features, the USA Custom Ridgeland snare drum delivers the warm, full-bodied tone that Sweetwater percussionists have grown to love. Built with maple, gum, poplar, and a nearly 1/2-inch shell, these drums look great and emit a wide, responsive, and decisive tone with the help of their 20-strand snare wires. Gretsch’s fan-favorite lightning throw off makes for quick sound changes, making tonal control easy on and off the stage. Best of all, these snares feature a standard 30-degree bearing edge and a Broadkaster-style roundover, which bear the old-school look and sound of a true Gretsch drum.

The Gretsch USA Custom Ridgeland series
Since 1984, Gretsch artisans have worked tirelessly to design and manufacture their Custom and Signature Series drums — all within the same Ridgeland, South Carolina-based workshop. In honor of this 40-year milestone, the company has released the USA Custom Ridgeland series snare drum. Built to replicate some of the finest drums to leave the company's factory doors, these snares are handcrafted with a critical eye and feature a round of upgrades to cater to many modern percussionists. After four decades of continuous dedication, Gretsch has perfected their drum manufacturing process, and their work has culminated with the USA Custom Ridgeland series snare drum.
