For my JamHub - Instrument IN, this invaluable MONO TS 1/4 TO STEREO TRS 1/4 adapter- Thank you Sweetwater!

Thank God for Sweetwater.com. Found this adapter almost immediately. Forget Guitar Center, the 'audio-specialist' at my local (Tukwila WA) store -had no clue of the specs, said no such thing existed (truly unknowledgeable) and didn't even offer to explore options or alternative.

Sweetwater is getting ALL my business going forward.

This works for makeshift In-Ear headphone system

So I needed an in-ear system at the church for the musicians. We don't have a digital system In place to run a aviom or Behringer system but we have a Behringer Xenyx 244fx that gives us 4 aux sends and direct outs. Well I started researching because I got the bright Idea that if you can have control over the aux sends, then you have an in ear system. Well we have a couple of just cheap stereo headphone amps, but it only played out of one side. Well found out what I needed to do to get the signal to work, and got sad because it basically required me to make cables. 1, I have no time for that, 2, I don't know how. So when I found this adapter that did what I needed I was ecstatic.

The way I run this is, I use a 1/4 male to 1/4 male instrument cable to plug on end into the aux send jack on the back of the board, then the other end goes into this adapter that is 1/4 female. The take the adapters 1/4 male end and plug that into my stereo headphone amp that gives me 4 master controls.

Now we want to utilize all aux sends, so every instrumentalist has a headphone amp, getting there own mix, with a master control. Not the best thing out there, but gets the job done on a budget.

Also, If you are on a super budget but have a board with aux sends you can take the mono source of the aux send into a small mixer's line input which is also mono using a regular 1/4 cable. Then do the proper gain setting and use the headphone out on the small mixer.

Also, do realize, these are just scenarios that I have tried but I know work. They are not by any means the law to Pro Audio but gets a job done. And you'll get sound in both ears by doing one of these ways, but it is only MONO in both ears.

Works for direct out's.

I was looking for an adapter to use the insert's on my mixer channel strips as direct outs. When I 1st emailed sweetwater to see if this would work they tried to sell me a $10.00 adapter & told me they didn't know if this would work or not. For an $8.00 price difference....had to try it. Attention sweetwater sales staff: This adapter works as direct out's!!! I give the adapter a 4.5 only because it has not been road tested yet.

Noisy and it falls apart.

I use this adapter to go from 1/4 ts to 1/8 trs/RCA adapter to plug my looper into my receiver for hifi system. It has pulled apart on me multiple times. It also has a lot of noise in it. If my pedalboard moves while playing (very common on carpet), there is a good chance of some static from a cheap connection. Needs improvement.
